Reflection of '08 ICT

I remember our class first going in to the blog site, edublogs. Mr. Bertoia introduced edublogs to us and it was the most important part of our semester. We posted everything we did in this semester on to it. By using this blog, we learned how to use post images, videos, and links on the blog site. We also learned how to use jing, wordle, and glogster. Jing is a program that can take screen shots. Wordle is an online web that can make word cloud, such as the picture below. Glogster is a website that allows you to make glogs. It was fun learning how to use these programs because I can use it in other subjects not just ICT. Our class also learned how to use Adobe Premiere Elements. It is a program that you can edit videos. It was remarkable to learn how to edit videos by using transitions, titles, and other types of editing skills. We also learned how to use adobe photoshop, but we didn’t spend much time on it. For a few classes, we used scratch. Scratch is a kind of program that can make programs. We tried making a small game and it was so amusing. It was cool that we could make a game, which we normally play. For the last few classes, we learned how to use Google advanced search. We were supposed to search about the “diseases” that a computer can get. By using Google advances search, it was easier to find the information that we needed to know.

This semester in ICT, we have learned exciting information about computer technology. I can’t really remember every single lesson we have learned, but I remember the ones I was most fascinated in.

This year’s ICT class was very interesting and I learned a lot of knowledge about computer technology. I hope we can learn more sophisticated but fun skills on the computer.
